I, along with millions of people, listen to music every single day of my life. In fact, I am listening to music as I write this, and will probably be doing the same when you read this. There are few songs that become a favourite of mine as soon as I hear, but there are also songs that dont really catch my attention, but the more I listen to the lyricism, and poetic integrity of the artist, the more I like it
If I had to pick 5 all-time favourite songs, although I could probably pick a Top 500, they would be:
"Where The Streets Have No Name" by U2. Possibly one of U2's best songs, and it is also played before every Vancouver Canucks game, so thats a bonus!
"Dream On" by Aerosmith. Song always gets me pumped up, for pretty much anything
"Lost" by Coldplay (Featuring Jay-Z). The lyrics in this song are beyond amazing... "Just because I'm losing, doesn't mean I'm lost...)
"Funny The Way It Is" by Dave Matthews Band. Talks about problems in the world, which we can all probably relate to in life. "Funny the way it is, if you think about it, one kid walks 10 miles to school, another's dropping out..."
"Lose Yourself" by Eminem. For me, it's the ultimate pump-up song. Some motivational talking at the start, a good beat, and lyrics that seem like Eminem is pissed off the entire song. Very intense stuff
Not Afraid by Eminem gets me going too. "Holla if you feel like you've been down the same road!"
ReplyDeleteGreat song as well. Also, "Till I Collapse" is a great pump up song too
