Christmas is right around the corner, and I could not be more excited. Everybody is in a positive, happy mood... mostly because lots of presents are soon coming their way. Also, christmas music is playing. Now, I like any music all the way from Aretha Franklin, all the way to Jay-Z, but my favorite christmas music albums might be quite the weird selections. My top 3 most played albums during christmas are Merry Christmas by Mariah Carey... the girl can sing, no question about it. Christmas Interpretations by Boyz II Men and and These Special Times by Celine Dion. Weird taste in musc, right?
This is my first blog in a very, very long time, but out of the blue, I just felt like writing.
Until next time...

Inspirational Songs
I, along with millions of people, listen to music every single day of my life. In fact, I am listening to music as I write this, and will probably be doing the same when you read this. There are few songs that become a favourite of mine as soon as I hear, but there are also songs that dont really catch my attention, but the more I listen to the lyricism, and poetic integrity of the artist, the more I like it
If I had to pick 5 all-time favourite songs, although I could probably pick a Top 500, they would be:
"Where The Streets Have No Name" by U2. Possibly one of U2's best songs, and it is also played before every Vancouver Canucks game, so thats a bonus!
"Dream On" by Aerosmith. Song always gets me pumped up, for pretty much anything
"Lost" by Coldplay (Featuring Jay-Z). The lyrics in this song are beyond amazing... "Just because I'm losing, doesn't mean I'm lost...)
"Funny The Way It Is" by Dave Matthews Band. Talks about problems in the world, which we can all probably relate to in life. "Funny the way it is, if you think about it, one kid walks 10 miles to school, another's dropping out..."
"Lose Yourself" by Eminem. For me, it's the ultimate pump-up song. Some motivational talking at the start, a good beat, and lyrics that seem like Eminem is pissed off the entire song. Very intense stuff

Looking back at the Olympics
Just the other day, I found myself watching YouTube videos, yet again. I stumbled along a montage of Canada's best moments at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, set to 'I Believe' by Nikki Yanofsky. Sure, the Olympics have been over for quite sometime, but I realized just how amazing those exciting times were.
When you think about it, the fact that a round piece of gold medal can bring together an entire country, is amazing. Each and every day, you just felt happy knowing that you are being connected, whether its through your tv, your phone, or even the internet, with all of your fellow countrymen.
Just knowing that every day, every hour, even every minute, you could be witnessing Canadian history, was unbelievable. It took Sidney Crosby only one split-second to forever change Canadian history. With that one shot, that one golden goal, he was able to connect, even further so, over 30 million individuals who had become united as one over 16 triumphant days
